My name is Bettina, and I am a contemporary mixed-media textile artist working under the studio name raspberry.stitches.

My practice engages with textile-based processes as a contemporary form of drawing and surface-making. Working with fiber, stitching, and layered materials, I approach textiles as carriers of memory, labor, and cultural knowledge rather than decorative elements.

Nature informs my work as a system of rhythms, textures, and transformation. Organic structures and material processes shape abstract compositions that explore the relationship between natural systems and human intervention. Traditional techniques are recontextualized within a contemporary art framework, where repetition, tactility, and time become central to the work.

Situated between contemporary fine art and material-based practice, my work reflects on how inherited techniques can remain relevant as expressive and critical tools, allowing material, process, and human presence to converge within tactile, abstract works.
